Informatik has always been a bit of an outlier in the synthpop circles. They've been on this comp or that throughout the years, but dang if this new release isn't sounding fresh - and I think I figured out what it is. It's full on synth but with actual live drumming on a number of tracks...and it works. Check out World Belongs to Us for instance, pretty run of the mill, but then kicks into this sweet build up towards the end. Night and Day, catchy and brooding as heck.
