I have to admit seeing a new release from these boys has me on high hover. The Dillinger Escape Plan are regarded as purveyors of Math Metal but I sum it up as Progressive Metalcore. Right up there with Periphery although an initial run through this release indicates it is not at the God-like level of last year's Periphery II. No doubt these guys are at their best when they break down the middle of a track with some decipherable metal (anyone remember the incredible Farewell Mona Lisa?). Best efforts on this latest are the title track and Paranoia Shields.
