AFI - Burials from DJLonz

While I have been following AFI since their punkier years, I had pretty much written them off as a me-too emo outfit still capable of the occasional hooky track. Enter 2013 and these boys have matured into a nu-metal goth groove and have turned out a fine record in Burials. You may hear slight hints of their American Pie-era roots but they're fleeting at most as every track on this record is a good listen. I've been rotating the listener-friendly A Deep Slow Panic which is just damn catchy followed by the heavier No Resurrection which crescendos to a nice sing along ending.
