The lists of 2013 top metal records are starting to pop up on the net. This latest offering by doom stalwarts, Cathedral, occupies a high ranking spot on many of these lists. I have to say though when it comes to doom, last year's Pallbearer release set such a high standard for me that I don't know if anything will ever measure up. That said, Cathedral steps up with a serious grungy effort that projects a mood somewhere between despair and must kill. When you find yourself in the mood, give This Body, Thy Tomb a spot at the altar.
