Trolling through some late model alternative recently and was reminded of this 2011 release by Young the Giant that never seems to have made it to The Port. It's always a crapshoot with these indie alternative acts as to whether they serve up enough heavy groove to keep my interest or fall into indie folk blahness. My experience is most often the latter so it is always a pleasant surprise when I find one that does not bite the indie bait hook line and sinker. Young the Giant shows they can still go either way but manages to offer up enough hooky melodies that will keep me coming back for more. We heard My Body from Ds AlternaPOP collection but you'll find a few other cookies in I Got, Cough Syrup and St Walker.
