Awful release from Al Jourgensen side project Surgical Meth Machine. Filled with ridiculous commentary apparently directed toward fans who have questioned his artistic ability as of late. After listening, you'll see any such question is clearly justified. This is just crunching industrial noise that takes a synthpoppy twist toward the end. That twist could have signaled a reprise of Al's early days but no, he wastes it on blips, clicks and bad samples. I do give the cover of Devo's Gates of Steel a very generous 4 stars more out of respect for the original than what SMM was able to do with it.
