After listening to this album's opener, I began to pen a glowing review heralding this release as a good old-fashioned American hard rock record. And it's definitely worth nothing this is side-project for Soilwork's lead singer and lead guitarist. So imagine my dismay that despite starting off with such a top-notch choon, the rest of this album rapidly declines to a point where it sounds more like Pat Travers fronting a Supertramp comeback album. How you can make a career fronting Soilwork and then put your name on this fluff is a real head scratcher. Hugely disappointing but still worth adding Midnight Flyer to your American Muscle playlist.
