Dreamcar features members of No Doubt and the lead singer of AFI doing a throwback new wave sound. First three tracks set this up to be a finely executed refresh of Flock of Seagulls and Duran Duran, each earning a spot in the Hipster Fixie playlist. Unfortunately the rest of the tracklist loses the curiosity of the openers and sounds like the B-sides from any other record of that bygone era.
