The consensus nowadays is that Tristania is a mere shadow of its former self, but there's still no denying them as one of the premier goth metal acts. It also doesn't hurt to have one of the more "presentable" vocal divas at front and center. "Illumination" has some pretty cool theatrical elements to it.
