Against all odds, these crusty hardcore veterans managed to pull off a veritable gothic doom masterpiece...after a 20 year hiatus. You'll know what I'm talking about the moment you hear the melancholy opening baseline on "Days" all the way through to the killer epic closer "Knights of the Black Sun". For half of this album you'll swear you're listening to Fields of the Nephilim back in the hey day...wow, didn't see this one coming.

I really enjoyed this up. I liked the variation of pain in his voice across the different tracks. Knights of the Black Sun really gets it done for me.
