Alright you wusses, that Soilwork was the fluffer for the most aniticpated album thus far in 2013 (pre-release leak at that). Drum roll please...and the verdict is...Sempiternal is the new northstar of metalcore, the guiding light that others will be measured by, the definitive breakthrough album. The only dis and it's not really a dis - is that it's less on the experimental side with more traditionally structured songs. No dead weight here, every track, hook, and change-up is wicked cool. The crafty lines are pervasive - "I can't drown my demons, cause they know how to swim", good stuff. For pure punk angst, Anti-Vist will go down in history as it is the most brilliant delivery of "you're a cu**

Holy crappage, this record grabs you by the gunny sac from the get go and never lets up on its vice like grip. Funny how these boys are oft considered wannabes and don't get the credit they deserve from the nu metal community. Guessing this is what keeps them trying harder than the rest of the metalcore vanilla bean factory. It's only March but this could be the album of 2013. Nice yank.
