So the Pickups have seen fit to change up their sound a bit, toning down the vocal angst while amping up the keyboards and shoegaze. While the typical Port listener would equate this to immediate disaster, I can't find it in me to say this is a bad record. In fact, it's a pretty darn good one. Toned down for sure but still damn infectious. Lots of material for your alternative playlist of choice with Ragamuffin being the 5 star selection of the bunch.
