Being a long-time William Control fan, I naively believed he was the face of an authentic new-romantic movement. Several releases of infectious goth synth with lyrics of tormented love masked the moments that would veer into a darker BDSM underbelly. Well as it turns out, the refined, new-romantic persona was a sham and ole Willy is just another sick pervert. He's lost his wife, put his career on hold and is under investigation for running a sex slave ring. Apparently his subjects have been tattooed with his ornately scrolled mark upon their nether-regions... forever the artist. Revelations is likely the last we'll hear from William Control. More synthpop and less industrial goth but still a solid listen.
